Sorry for different language! We are using Libreoffice and it's ancestors in scientific calculations with large blocks of array formulas for about 15 years. And now it is becoming worse, actually, with every major release. Opening and operations of large files (above 3 MB) takes minutes and sometimes ends with crashes. For instance, to open 4 MB calc file with 4.3.1 on my 32 bit laptop it takes 55 seconds, for openoffice.org 14 seconds, but for excel through wine - 4 seconds. CPU is 100% used and you never know, if the operation will crash the program or not. This problem is reported plenty of times by me and others, but there is no willingness to solve it.However, new libreoffice comes with polynomial regression curves, which is excellent, and pivot tables are considerably improved. They are actually much more intuitive than in excel. Therefore we have 2 office suites (libreoffice and openoffice.org) and both are great pieces of software with some, sometimes rather bad problems.
